Lids that are awkward

Huge RGB windows and antenna lines are keep-outs, not decoration to cover.
What to check before you buy the laptop
- Is the outer lid mostly one flat rectangle?
- Are vents on the sides/rear rather than the top face?
- Is the finish smooth metal or paint (not sticky rubber)?
- Can you imagine measuring width × height without guessing around cutouts?
