Lid size notes

“XPS 13”, “XPS 14” and “XPS 15” describe screen families, not a guaranteed skin size. Measure the closed-lid width and depth, not the display diagonal. Buy a sheet that exceeds both measurements, and account for rounded corners, the Dell badge and any lid seams.

Apply and remove it carefully

Power down first and work on a clean, flat surface. Mark cut lines on the backing paper, not the laptop. Apply the centre first, push air to the edges, then trim away from hinges and ports; a lid skin must not wrap into vents.
